In 1747, Jean de Galimard, Lord of Seranon, related to the Count of Thorenc
and great friend of Goethe, founded the Parfumerie Galimard in Grasse,
France, the birthplace of traditional perfumery and aromatic scents, to
supply the court of Louis IV, the much beloved King of France, with unique
formulas of perfumes.
The
source of these rich fragrances came directly from nature’s pure
essences; jasmine, rose, lavender, orange flower and tuberose, mixed under
the expert direction of a Master Perfumier or “Le Nez” (The
Nose) as he is known today at the Galimard studios.
As word spread from the King’s court about these amazing perfumes,
the Parfumerie Galimard soon became the fragrances of choice across the
European continent.
250 years later, these same fine natural ingredients are now available
at the Village Parfumerie in their full selection of distinctive, pre-formulated
Galimard perfumes, lotions, crèmes, soaps and linen sprays available
for men, women and children.
You are also invited to participate in the uniquely personal experience
that awaits you at the Village Parfumerie – the creation of
your very own fragrance.
